How old is your prosthesis?

We often see ladies who are wearing prostheses that are really long in the tooth. Sometimes they are held together with sticky tape and they have developed cracks or splits and are leaking. You do know that Medicare will provide a rebate (up to $400 ) every two years for a new prosthesis?

And when you consider that the prosthesis has a two year guarantee, well it makes sense to replace it every two years so that you will always have the protection of a manufacturer's warranty!

So don't be caught out like this lady.....

Hello Debra.

Many thanks for posting my new breast prosthesis to me. It arrived this morning and I do appreciate the free postage too! I just wanted to say that I should have listened to you when you advised me to replace the old one when I was in your shop a few months ago. At the time it was very sticky with cracks appearing and you suggested to me then that it was well past its use by date. And at the time I thought I might get another year or two out of it.

To my horror I found out you were right when it sprung a big leak last week as I waited outside my grand daughter's school to collect her. I wondered why this lady was staring at me when finally she came over to me and asked if I was okay as a large dark stain had started to spread across my navy blouse.. it was the silicone leaking out I discovered when I returned home. Although as soon as I saw the wet patch I knew exactly what had happened, but having to explain it to a much younger woman was very embarrassing.

Next time, I will replace it when it is due and I am entitled to a Medicare rebate for it. Once again, many thanks for the speedy service and your expertise.

Wow! Talk about busy.

Our newsletter is out and the response is amazing. (If you haven't received yours yet.. is is in the mail!) We actually started Friday with back to back fittings in the boutique. The Tracy bras are incredibly popular with their soft micro fibre pocket.

But all the new Amoena bras are brilliant .. so get in soon ladies for the best choice in sizes.

We welcome Ben, a QANTAS Captain at Spirit of Life Boutique.

As you must surely know from all of the articles in the media.. October is breast cancer awareness month. Of course we aways get into the swing of things with many fund raising events to attend through the month.

It is also great to see the corporate world getting on board too! To this end QANTAS have given their air crew pink bars for their epaulettes for the month of October! We think it's great. Just last May/June Mark & I travelled to London and then New York and Los Angeles with a few different airlines... but finally when we went to LAX to come home.. there was the magic Flying Kangaroo waiting for us. Love those 747 aeroplanes, Queen of the skies alright. And with that flying Kangaroo on the tail, well it doesn't get much better than that. In fact you could hear other Aussies entering the aircraft ahead of us and say.. "QANTAS.. at last we're home!" And that is how we felt too.

And one of those special QANTAS people is Captain Ben O'Keefe who pilots for QantasLink and popped into the shop to say hello. Ben is only too aware about the need to raise awareness of breast cancer as his own grandmother had her own journey with this wicked disease.

Morning all. Today I was at a Terri Cooper Networking breakfast and learning about the use of Twitter etc for your business. Our Spirit of Life Boutique was the event sponsor and as such I had the chance to say a few words and run an AV of what Spirit of Life Does.

So our spring newsletter is out.. if you haven't got yours.. it will be along in your letterbox soon. And already Christina and I are rushed off our feet. This latest Boutique News is twice the size of the previous and now out to 8 pages. We started at 2! Lots of new seasons swimwear and all sorts of goodies to behold.
